Vitamin B +

Function

Vitamin B Complex plays important roles in cell metabolism, cell growth and division (red blood cells that help prevent anemia). It maintains healthy skin and muscle tone, enhances immune and nervous system function. It also reduces the risk of pancreatic cancer if the vitamin is consumed in food (not in vitamin tablet form).

Vitamin B Complex consists of 8 water-soluble vitamins, which means that they are not stored in the body. They must be replaced each day, since any excess is excreted in the urine. Vitamin B12 is an exception.  The body can store Vitamin B12 in the liver for years.

Choline and Lecithin is also within the vitamin B complex and are therefore included.

Vitamin deficiency

Most people don’t eat enough real, raw foods, so vitamin B is killed or so depleted that people are not getting enough of it in the diet. The difference between vitamins that are in pill form versus vitamin that are contained within nature’s foods is sickness and health. Vitamin B from pills is very poor in vitamin B. Foods help nutrients that allow vitamins to work. Foods are never found in high potency so you won’t suffer any toxic side effects. Vitamin pills need other nutrients in order to work.

Deficiency symptoms

Fatigue, stress, anemia, irritation, nervousness, sleepless, constipation, cholesterol problems

What you can do

  • Try to replace processed food to more natural: raw rice, whole meal flour
  • Try to avoid sugar, coffee and alcohol
  • Switch to organic decaffeinated coffee or organic green tea
  • Use more vitamin B-containing foods: oats, barley, wheat bran, seed, avocado, salmon, Brazil nuts and others, unpolished rice, beans, milk, green salads, eggs, chicken, liver
  • If needed you can take vitamin B Complex supplement.
  • If you use Brewer’s yeast as a supplement, you should notice that it doesn’t include vitamin B12. This is especially important if you are a vegetarian, since you can’t get vitamin B12 from a vegetarian diet.
