About Vata Pitta Kapha

Now, let’s find out what that means. You will find a short description of the three Doshas: Vata, Pita and Kapha below.

Vata

You have a thin body with a shifting appetite and thirst. You think, work and move very quickly. If you are a Vata in balance you are full of life and very creative, imaginative and talkative.

If you are not in balance you become restless, worried, feel fear and low self esteem, losing too much weight, your sleep will suffer and your body will feel cold. Typical health problems are also anxiety, trouble concentrating, high blood pressure, gas, hard feces, ache from tension and chronic fatigue.

Pitta

You have a medium sized body with a good appetite and you don’t like to skip any meals. You are dynamic and goal oriented. If you are a Pitta in balance you are warm, very intellectual, fear less and have strong digestion.

If you are not in balance you become irritated, critical, impatient, stubborn, dominating and you can also get rashes. Typical health problems are also inflammations, gastric ulcer, eczema, rage, insatiable hunger and thirst.

Kapha

You have a strong body structure with a slow digestion. You are methodical and patient. If you are a Kapha in balance you feel safe and harmonious. You also have empathy and endurance and you are stable and relaxed.

If you are not in balance you become smug, sluggish, over weight and will need much sleep. Typical health problems are also allergic reactions, problems with mucous membrane and suffering from depression.
